A celebration of life for Jean Harry, 75 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-September 12, 2015-2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church located at 400 Nimitz Drive in Grants, New Mexico. Eulogy will be by: Lynn Hinton with Hospice.
Jean was born a twin on November 9, 1939 in Rehoboth, New Mexico. she passed away on August 26, 2015 in Grants, New Mexico.
Jean attended school in Gallup, New Mexico, Slaton, Texas and Durango, Colorado where she graduated from High School.
She married Ronald L. Maxwell in December of 1957, and they moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina where he was stationed in the Army. They moved to Grants, New Mexico in 1960, she has made her home there since then. To this union one child was born.
Jean worked as a bookkeeper for Foxworth Galbraith for over 23 years, and other jobs around the Grants, New Mexico area.
Jean was a sorority member of Laureate Nu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for 31 years.
Jean remarried in 1991 to Edward Harry from Grants, New Mexico.
She had a great love for life, her family, many friends, animals, art, and beautiful things. She enjoyed collecting Native American Pottery, Kachinas, Buffalos, Angels, and Spoons.
She is survived by her Son: Ronnie Gene Maxwell,(Laurie) of Durango, Colorado; Mother: Thelma Lorraine Patton of Grants, New Mexico; Sister: Maureen Brennan of Durango, Colorado; Brothers: Billy Gene Malone (Minnie) of Gallup, New Mexico, Robert William Malone of Grants, New Mexico, James Rell Malone (Leann) of Lubbock, Texas, John Dell Malone (Sharon) of Lubbock, Texas and Brian Jason Malone (Leslie) of Pearl, Texas; Grandsons: Jacob Lee Maxwell (Jackie) of Coleville, California, Tyler Gene Maxwell of Aspen, Colorado, Cody James Maxwell Dennison (Amanda) of Cortez, Colorado; great Grandchildren: Jaxon Maxwell, of Coleville, California, Kasen, Sadie and Breen Dennison of Cortez, Colorado; Step-Son: Hud Harry of Grants, New Mexico; Brother-in-law: Joe Harry (Wendy) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Jean is preceded in death by her Father: Odell Malone; Husbands: Edward Harry and Ronald L. Maxwell.
