Memorial Funeral Mass for Carmen Salazar 81 of Cubero, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-August 13, 2016-10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church in Cubero, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Cubero Community Cemetery.



A rosary will be held on Friday-August 12, 2016-7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church.



Carmen was born on September 5, 1934 in Harlingen, Texas and she passed away on August 9, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was retired from the New Mexico Department of Human Services.



She is survived by her Companion: Armelino Salazar of Cubero, New Mexico; Son: Armelino Salazar and partner Ron Weese of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Daughters: Cindy Hinojosa and husband Danny Hinojosa of Alice, Texas, Monica Salazar and husband Apolonio Lucero of Cubero, New Mexico, Veronica Fank and husband Jason Fank of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Victor Salazar and wife Gloria of Kingsville, Texas; Grandchildren: Michael Hinojosa, Stephanie Hinojosa and husband Joel Molina, Brianna Fank, Dayna Fank, James Partick Porter, Joshua Lucero, Marina Lucero, Patrick and Julie Salazar, Carl Ellis, Terrie Farias, Robbie Farias and Tomas Farias; 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; also her step brothers and sisters: Robert Salazar, Hector Salazar, Frankie Salazar, Gilbert Salazar, Jimmy Salazar, Maria Salazar, Richie Salazar, Janie Chavez and Tommy Salazar.



She is preceded in death by her Son: Xavier Farias and Daughter: Sonja Beaird; Parents: Frank T. Salazar and Ofilia Martinez Salazar.



Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
