Carolyn Sue Scott

d. February 11, 2024

Carolyn Sue Scott, 81, passed away on February 11, 2024, in Grants, New Mexico in the comfort of her home. She was born in 1942 in Lebanon, Indiana. Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eddie Scott, brother Joe George, and her parents Howard and Melvina George. She is survived by her brothers, Lloyd and David George, sisters Ladonna Skow, and Janice Kline, and her husband Robert Kline, her son Justin Scott, and his wife Patricia Scott, grandchildren Matthew and Heather Stevens, her daughter Diana Thorne, and her husband Thomas Thorne, her grandson Benjamin Thorne, and his wife Adrianna Thorne, and her great grandchildren Zaniel and Urijah Thorne.

Carolyn, or Great Nana, as her great grandsons called her, loved life and being outdoors. She loved fishing, and she had a habit of out fishing whoever she was with. She also loved the time she got to spend with her grandson Ben and later the time spent with his sons, and wife. She was the best Mom, Nana and Great Nana there ever was. We all as a family know that family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico on February 26, 2024 at 9:30. At 2:30 will be the burial in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the National Cemetery.
