Rosary and Funeral Mass Former Milan Police Chief Alfonso Carlos Martinez, 71 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Monday-June 20, 2016-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.

Alfonso was born on August 11, 1944 in Gallup, New Mexico and he passed away on June 14, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He is survived by his Sons: Albert Martinez of Phoenix, Arizona, Jerry Martinez and wife Mary of Phoenix, Arizona and Donnie Martinez and wife Eva of Phoenix, Arizona; Daughters: Vanessa Martinez of Phoenix, Arizona and Kelsey Martinez of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Gilbert "Gibo" Martinez of Grants, New Mexico; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Parents: Ingnacio Martinez and Francisca Padilla; Brothers: Encarnacion Marquez, Albert Marquez, Jose P. Marquez and Bobby P. Marquez; Sisters: Dulemia Castillo and Lilly Marquez.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Marquez, Sr., Robert Marquez, Jr., Joshua Marquez, Alfonso Polanco, Joseph Martinez, Donny "Donito" Martinez.

Honorary Pallbeares will be: Karl Chavez, Jackie Fisher, Max Jaramillo, Manuel Lujan, Toby Michael, Pat Salazar, Ronnie Padilla.
