Funeral Services for Clydene Cooper 80 of Milan, New Mexico will be held on Friday-March 20, 2020-10:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, Burial will follow at the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery in Bluewater Village, New Mexico. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate.



Clydene was born on November 26, 1939 in East Cooper, Texas and she passed away on March 15, 2020 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.



She was the daughter of Clyde and Pauline Steward and one of five siblings. Clydene moved with her family to Lorenzo, Texas where she graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1959. On September 14, 1960 she married the love of her life, Melvin O. Cooper. They made their permanent residence in Milan, New Mexico in 1969.



She worked as a Bookkeeper at Grants State Bank for many years, she retired from Voights Shell in 2008. She was a devoted mother, Grandmother, and sister.



She loved spending her holidays gathered with her family, Loved dancing, bowling, decorating, shopping and spending time with her family,



She will be remembered for her exquisite sense of style, her adoration for her family and many friends, and her faith in the Lord.



She is survived by her Husband: Melvin O. Cooper of Milan, New Mexico; Sons: Melvin Cooper, Jr and Marcus Cooper both of Milan, New Mexico; Known as Mamaw to her granddaughters; Lori Morlang of Bluewater, New Mexico, Shelby Thomson of Bluewater, New Mexico, Tbaitha Lemus of Grants, New Mexico, Krystal Cooper of Milan, New Mexico, Kelsey Spencer of Bluewater, New Mexico; Sisters: Cathy Dockery of Three Rivers, Texas, Peggy Bronson of Woodward, Oklahoma and Nina Kay Monsey of Abeliene, Texas; In-Laws: Chersteree Cooper of Bronte, Texas, Norma Stoneman of Spur. Texas; She was blessed with 17 Great Grandchildren and on Great Great Grandchild on the way.



Pallbearers will be: Melvin Cooper, Jr., Marcus Cooper, Scotty Morlang, Matthew Strandy, Brett Cooper and Brennan Morlang.



Honorary Pallbearers will be her Granddaughters: Lori Morlang, Shelby Thompson, Tabitha Lemus, Krystal Cooper and Kelsey Spencer
