Celebration of life for David (Dave) DeWeese, 60 will be held at Red Rock State Park Auditorium-Saturday November 13th from 11-3pm.
Dave was born in Troy Ohio April 25th, 1961, and passed away on October 27, 2021 in Gallup, New Mexico.
He lived Piqua Ohio during his younger years, He and his family moved to Gallup NM in 1974 where he enjoyed life to the fullest.
Dave graduated Gallup HS class of '79 where he played basketball. He also played Men's City League Softball and Basketball. He met the love of his life Tammy in 1982 and married in 1989.
Dave enjoyed being outdoors and traveling. Hunting, fishing and hiking were some of his favorites. But his true happy place was being around his grandchildren and wife. He was the definition of a great family man.
Dave had personality that radiated love and kindness. No one could resist his infectious smile and sense of humor. Knowing Dave meant you were part of his family. He would help everyone and anyone he could. He was a great listener with endless compassion that made all who knew him feel they were truly important in his life. Dave loved living in NM and all the wonderful friends he made. But his heart was always in Ohio. He loved rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
He is survived by wife Tammy Watchman DeWeese; Children: Kim DeWeese Saucedo and her husband Blas, Rob DeWeese and wife Renee, Kenny DeWeese and wife Gina, Kristina DeWeese Williams and her husband Josh. He had 8 grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Brothers: William (Bill) DeWeese, Kevin DeWeese and wife Cecy, Brian DeWeese and wife Paula, 2 nieces and 2 grandnieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents James DeWeese and Mother Linda Harrod DeWeese and his nephew Brandon DeWeese
