Deborah Jean Gurule

Deborah Jean Gurule was born on July 15, 1954, in Penasco, NM to Ramon and Bernice Casaus. She passed away unexpectedly on May 5^th, 2024.

Deborah enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was kind and loved by many people, with a contagious laugh and smile.

She is survived by her children: Gail Miller (Walter Miller), Bernice King, and Jason Gurule, As well as her partner in life Michael P. Baca. Siblings: Maryrose Maki (Dale Maki), Lorraine Ellis (Tom Ellis) and Ramon (Leo) Casaus Jr. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Brittney Gurule (Wayne Aragon), Tori Lewis (Cesar Miss), Kiana Gurule and her 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Bernice Casaus, Sister Suzanne Lozano, and late husband Benito Gurule.

Services will be held on May 16, 2024, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grants, NM. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Grants Memorial Park.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Samuel Vicenti, Christian Gurule, Gabriel Muruato, and Sincere Muruato.
