Funeral Services for Douglas Stephen Begay, 50 of Tohatchi, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-September 6, 2008-10:00 AM at the United Pentecostal Church in Tohatchi, New Mexico. Pastor Jerry Eastridge will officiate. Burial will follow on Private family land in Tohlakai, New Mexico.



Douglas was born on March 18, 1958 in Gallup, New Mexico and passed away on September 3, 2008 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.



He is survived by his children: Yolanda Chee of Gallup, New Mexico, Lynndell Allen of Tohatchi, New Mexico, Jason King of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Laramy Mike Begay of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mother: Pearl Plummer Begay of Tohatchi, New Mexico; Father: Edison A. Begay, Sr. of Ft. Defiance, Arizona; sisters: Melvina Livingston of Brimhall, New Mexico, Melinda Golden of Brimhall, New Mexico; Brothers: Edison "Chip" Begay, Jr., of Gallup, New Mexico, Edwin J. Begay of Tohatchi, New Mexico; 10 Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his wife Cornilia A. Begay; Daughter: Collene Edsitty; Brother: Michael E. Begay; Grandparents: Hosteen Nez Begay and Hanabah Begay, Ned Plummer, Sr. and Bekisbah Plummer.



Pallbearers will be: Jason Toadlena, Johnny Toadlena, Arvis Livingston, Dustin Begay, Nate Plummer, Adrian Chee.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Edison "Chip" Begay, Jr., Laramy Begay, Wilson Golden, Ervin Livingston, Wil James Golden, Bruce Morgan, Milton Begay, Herman Plummer, Jr. and Jason King.
