Eloisa Marie Chavez 88 of Grants, New Mexico passed away on March 15th, 2023.

Eloisa passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Eloisa was born on December 11th, 1934 to Benedito & Eleanor Marquez in Pierda Lumbre, New Mexico. Eloisa had many hobbies, she loved to crochet, sew, garden, and make crafts for her family and friends. Eloisa was very artistic, she also loved to Garden. She was involved with the Grandmas Teacher aide Program with Cibola County Schools. Eloisa loved to be with her Grandchildren and their families, she always loved to spend countless hours with them enjoying meals and watching sports.

Eloisa was preceded in death by her Parents Eleanor & Benito Marquez, Her Husband Arnold, Her Son Earl and Daughter in Law Pam, her Brothers Benny Marquez, Gabe Marquez, and Leo Marquez. Her Parents in law Mericiana & Pantaleon Chavez. Her sister Esther Serna and Son in law Steve Buchanan. Eloisa is survived by her Loving Children: Son, Elmer & Jeannette Chavez of Santa Fe, NM. Her daughters: Judy & Tommy Chavez of Grants, New Mexico. Antoinette Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bernadette & Jimmy Chavez of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her Sisters: Feliz Ulibarri, Viola Garcia and Brothers; Onie Marquez, Joe Marquez. Her Loving Grandchildren: Bradley & Landon Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, Brittney & Son Deo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Chris and Megan Chavez and daughters, Janessa and Audiana of Albuquerque New Mexico. Cody & Nicole Chavez and sons, Iroh & Jax of Grants, New Mexico. Jeremy & Marcie Chavez & daughters, Jenna, Natalie & Katie, of Grants, New Mexico. Jimmy & April Chavez of Las Vegas, Nevada. Tammy & Shaun Cox of Dover, Delaware. Zach & Nicole Chavez and Children, Jayden, Kyle & Layla of Grants, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons: Bradley, Chris, Jeremy, Jimmy Arnold, Landon, Zach Chavez, Cody Chavez & Major Shaun Cox. Honorary Pallbearers will be her Great grandchildren: Audianna, Deo, Iroh, Janessa, Jayden, Jenna, Jax, Katie, Natalie, Kyle & Layla Chavez.

Funeral Services will be held on March 23rd, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. @ First Baptist Church, 224 Mountain Road, Grants New Mexico. Catered Reception will immediately follow at Knights of Columbus Hall – 1601 E. Roosevelt Ave, Grants, New Mexico. Compassion Mortuary of Grants, NM is entrusted with her services.
