Ermelinda Martinez

Services for Ermelinda Martinez, 87, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-January 19, 2008-10:00 AM at Compassion Mortuary's Richard Martinez Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Clemente Saavedra will officiate.



A Prayer Service will be held on Friday-January 18, 2008-7:00 PM at the Compassion Mortuary's Richard Martinez Memorial Chapel.



Ermelinda was born on November 19, 1920 in Cordova, New Mexico and she passed away on January 14, 2008 just 3 weeks after her son, Richard Martinez. She was a member of the New Life "Spanish Assembly of God Church"



She is survived by her children: Ruth Saavedra and husband Clemente of Grants, New Mexico, Isabel Romero and husband Joe of Leadville, Colorado, Priscilla Valdez and husband Jose of Grants, New Mexico, and Lori Martinez of San Rafael, New Mexico; Daughter in law: Louise Martinez of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Andre Romero of Espanola, New Mexico, Alice Wheeler of Espanola, New Mexico, Ida Trujillo of Espanola, New Mexico; Brother: Eugene Rodriguez of Espanola, New Mexico; 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren with 3 on the way.



She is preceded in death by her husband Ricardo V. Martinez; Son: Richard Martinez; Daughter: Esther Martinez; Great Grandsons: Isaac Crow, twins, Tommy and Richard Crow and Robert Anthony Crow; Brothers: Porfirio Rodriguez, Albert Rodriguez and Samuel Rodriguez; Sister: Florence Martinez; Parents: Frank and Debra Rodriguez.



Pallbearers will be: Louie Martinez, Arthur Martinez, Andy Martinez, Steve Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, and Randy Saavedra.



Honorary pallbearers will be all of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
