Services for Gladys A. Chapman 88, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-December 23, 2010-10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Grants. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday-December 22, 2010-5:00-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Gladys was born on December 17, 1922 in Brown County,Texas and she passed away on December 20, 2010 in Grants, New Mexico.
Gladys has been a resident of Grants since 1954. She was retired from the City Electric as Office Manager. Was a board Member of Grants Good Samaritan. Life Member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Jeanette Hackney and husband John of Grants, New Mexico, and Charlene Crouch and husband Michaelof Ridegrest, California; Brother: W.O. Perry of Aztec, New Mexico; 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Harold D. Chapman in 1997; Son: James D. Chapman; Parents: William W. Perry and Lealie New Perry; Sisters: Ima Cellan and Ann Huey.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Crouch, Jon Hackney, Phillip Hackney, Richard Hackney and Wesley Wyatt.
