Grace James Cunningham

       Grace was born in Gallup NM and lived and raised her children in Grants, NM. She is

survived by her loving children Randy, Billy and Pamela. Grace was so loved and cared

for by her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.

Grace dedicated her life to the children in this community.

She assisted in making sure that every child that was involved in the Parks and

Recreation programs were able to have rides, food, or just the support. She then

continued with the involvement of the children in the community as she owned the

sports shop and helped children get what they needed even if they couldn’t get it

themselves. Grace was known better as Mrs. Cunningham as she spent countless

years at Grants High school.

       She loved and adored all her students and the main goal in her was to help them

succeed in being the best versions of themselves. She supported performances at the

school, graduations, and so much more. She assisted in getting children Christmas

baskets when they were in need. Her admiration and her willingness to ensure success

in the youth of the community was pivotal and will always be recognized as such.

Grace is proceeded in death by her parents; her loving husband: Harold “Red”

Cunningham; daughter: Lisa; and son: Stephen.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Grace on Saturday May 3, 2025, at 11 AM at The

Way, Truth, and Life Ministries at 700 Sakelares Blvd. Grants, NM. Gifts can be received

after 10 AM on this day.

The family would like to thank the community for their prayers, support, and love for
