Obituary

Hilario "Larry" Garcia, a beloved resident of Seboyeta, New Mexico, passed away on June 4, 2026. Born on February 7, 1952, in Seboyeta, Larry was a man deeply connected to his roots and passions, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, dedication, and a zest for life.

Larry was known for his many interests and hobbies which brought joy and fulfillment to his days. An avid hunter and camper, he treasured the great outdoors and the peace it brought him. He cherished evenings spent in his man cave, enjoying frosty's. His livelihood and spirit were tied to his trading business and the hard work of hauling wood, tasks he undertook with pride and diligence.

Family was the cornerstone of Larry's life. He was the partner of Debbie Lopez for 48 devoted years, a steadfast bond that brought mutual support and happiness. He was a loving father to his sons Larry Garcia, (and his wife Christine), Damian Lopez (and his wife Sofie), Jerrod (and his girlfriend Michelle), and a caring father to his daughter Katrina (and her husband Peter). His heart was fullest when spoiling his granddaughter Karissa, a memory cherished by those who knew him. Larry also held dear his other grandchildren: Nick, Luke, Marisa, Armando, Alejandro, and Daniella.

Larry's family history is marked by deep connections, though it is touched by loss. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Garcia, his parents Julian and Feliz Garcia, his brothers Gary and Enriquez Garcia, and his granddaughter Adrianna Garcia. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A Rosary service will be held on June 20, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m., both at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Seboyeta, NM. Following these services, Larry will be laid to rest at Seboyeta Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.

Larry Garcia's life was a testament to the values of hard work, family devotion, and joy in simple pleasures. He will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will continue to inspire those who carry his legacy forward.
