Howard was a long time member of the Grants and Milan communities and owned and operated Pinkston's Day & Nite Market since 1957 with his parents, until their deaths, and with his wife and children after that. Howard might also be known by some for the red chili chips that were also produced at his store in Milan. Howard passed in the early morning hours on October 11th, 2022, after several days of hard work to heal in the hospital, when his heart stopped and doctors couldn't get it restarted. He is preceded in death by his father (Fred Lawrence Pinkston), mother (Alice Pinkston), sister (Sherry), and many beloved family members.
He is survived by his wife (Vanessa), sons (Andrew, Philip (Gabriela), Stephen (Racheal)), and grandchildren (Kent and Gwendalynn). Howard was one of the most generous and kind people you could know.
He was a simple man that did not want for much and would tell anyone he was the richest man alive because he had his family. We're going to miss his compassion, love, smile and stories so very much. We love you Dad and look forward to the day we all get to be together again!
