Graveside Services for Ila Mae Justice 83, long time resident of Cibola County will be held on Tuesday-January 12, 2016-11:00 AM at the Grants Memorial Park. A reception will be held following at the Bluewater Senior Center, in Bluewater, New Mexico.
Ila was born on May 2, 1932 in Hayden, Colorado to Otto and Myrtle Horton. She passed away on January 7, 2016 at her home.
Later growing up in Grand Junction, Colorado where she met and married Richard L. Justice and having 3 children. In 1960 the family moved to the Grants area to start a new life and make new friends. Ila loved to dance, play softball, water ski, and a heck of a bowler. Ila was involved in civic activities in the Bluewater School and was a positive influence in the lives of many kids.
Richard her husband passed away in December 1981. She met Larry Hill in 1982 and began a new life journey which lasted 22 years. She acquired another 10 children who also loved her dearly.
Ila and Larry LOVED to dance and they danced a lot. They owned and ran a successful landscaping business until their retirement.
She will truly be missed by all of those whose lives she touched and she touched many!!!. She was an amazing mom, Step-mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother.
She is survived by her children: Sharon, Richard and Leonard; Step-Children: Lawrence, Allen, Roxanne, Ray, Steve, Bonnie, Penny, Larry, Kenneth and Charlie; Sister: Joy Bates; 29 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Richard Justice, Life Partner: Larry Hill; Parents: Otto and Myrtle Horton; Brothers: Lowell, Leonard and Dale Horton.
