Isaac Gilbert Maxson

Isacc Gilbert Maxson, born February 3, 1946, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on September 18, 2026, in Grants, New Mexico, at the age of 80.

Isacc was a well-educated and independent man who earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri. Throughout his career, he followed an entrepreneurial path. And owned and operated his own business. 

He especially enjoyed his time in New Mexico, where he admired the state’s beautiful landscapes and scenery. Traveling throughout New Mexico and taking in its mountains, deserts, skies, and natural beauty brought him great enjoyment.

Isacc is survived by his sister, Mary, who will carry forward the memories of his life and the time they shared together.

Isacc will be remembered for his independent spirit, creativity, and his love for the beauty of New Mexico. His life took him from his beginnings in South Carolina to many experiences and accomplishments along the way, with New Mexico becoming a place that held special meaning for him.
