Memorial Graveside Services for Isaac Wilfred Montano will be on Thursday-January 6, 2022-11:00 AM at the Grants Memorial Park.
He was a carpenter and loved doing wood crafts for most of his life. He retired from Cibola County. He was respected in his community, many enjoyed his company and all the laughter and joy he brought with his kindhearted ways and all the great jokes he loved to share. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Wilfred was born on August 5, 1937, in San Fidel, NM and he passed away on December 30, 2021, in Grants, NM.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Cecilia Montano, his children: Olivia Sprunk of Milan, Sikey and his wife Lou Ann Montano of Grants, Joann and her husband David Vigil of Denver CO, Daniel and his wife Rhonda of Temecula CA, and Jay Montano of Grants; Grandchildren: Melissa and her husband Anthony Lopez of Grants, Camille (CC) Sprunk and Companion Alfred Baca of Milan, Nicole and her husband Michael Flaska of Chipley FL, David Sprunk of Albuquerque, Suzanne and her husband Victor Pilcher of Denver CO, Britny Montano of Temecula CA, Nathan Montano and his companion Kaila Lopez of Grants and Damion Montano of Grants; Great grandchildren: Isaac Portillo of Denver CO, Triniti Pilcher of Denver CO, Deja Sprunk of Albuquerque, Malakai Sprunk of Albuquerque, and Rosendo Sprunk of Grants; Sisters: Gloria and her husband Al Montoya, Patsy Molina and Eremita and her husband Adelicio Moya.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Jesus Montano and Rosalia Martinez Montano; Siblings: Adela Baca, Sylvia Baca, Carlota Moya, Braulio (Lalo) Montano, Carlos Montano and Julian Montano; Great Grandchild: Elijah Flaska
Pallbearers will be all his Grandchildren.
