Juan Jose Torrez

Juan Jose Torrez, born on August 9, 1960, entered his eternal rest on March 6, 2025, in San Rafael. He was a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend whose warmth and caring spirit touched the lives of many.

Juan is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Torrez, and his dear daughters, Desirae (Dale) Knighton, Marissa Torrez, and Unique Torrez. He was a proud step-father to Richard Jaramillo, Chris Quintana, Dante Romero, and Jazmyn Romero. His legacy continues through his grandsons, Adynn and Toryn Knighton, who will carry forward his love and teachings.

He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, James (Josephine) Torrez and Jackie Torrez, as well as his sisters, Pauline (Anthony) Chavez, Margart (Orlando) Chavez, Veronica (Raymond) Montano, Nadine (Rodger), Catherine (Melchor) Erives, and Alexandria (Edward) Veloz. Juan held a special bond with his sister-in-law Tamora Bartanek and his brother-in-law Antonio Cardenas.

Preceding Juan in death are his parents, Andres A. Torrez and Magdalena Montoya Torrez; his brothers, Joel, Jesse, and Alejandro Torrez; his sister Rebecca Cardenas; his niece Yvonne Chavez; and his nephew Rudy Gallagos.

Juan's life was characterized by love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who were privileged to share in his life.
