Kyle Wayne Hickman, born on February 6, 1996, in Grants, New Mexico, was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Kyle passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025, at the young age of 29, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness and joy.
Kyle demonstrated a dedicated work ethic throughout his career, making significant contributions as a server at Dalton Ranch Golf Club and Clubhouse, serving as the General Manager at Route 66 Dog House, and working as a merchandiser for Hensley Beverage Company. His approachable nature and warm spirit made him a favorite among colleagues and patrons alike.
An alumnus of Grants High School, Kyle furthered his education by attending Fort Lewis College and Coconino Community College. He possessed a curious mind and a willingness to learn, which endeared him to others and exemplified his commitment to self-improvement.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Kyle found joy in various hobbies and interests. He loved camping and often sought solace in nature. Riding his horse brought him great happiness, as did singing and playing with his beloved fur baby, Tully. Kyle was also an enthusiastic tennis player, always eager to share this passion with friends and family.
Kyle is survived by his loving mother, Naomi Hickman; father, Douglas Hickman; brother, Tyler Hickman and companion Phyllia Barth; sister, Amber Hickman and companion Logan Chavez; and paternal grandmother, Eileen Lujan. These family members will fondly remember his laughter, bright spirit, and generous heart.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Demetrio and Verginia Trujillo, and his paternal grandfather, Donald Hickman, who welcomed him with open arms in the eternal embrace.
A viewing for Kyle will be held on September 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at The Way, Truth & Life Ministries, located at 700 Sakelares Blvd, Grants, NM. He will be laid to rest in Grants Memorial Park Cemetery after burial services beginning at 12:30 PM.
Kyle Wayne Hickman's memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his light will forever illuminate the lives of his family and friends.
