Funeral Services for Margie B. Cook 76 a resident of Grants, New Mexico are for the past 56 years will be held on Friday-January 30, 2015-1:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church, 717 Aspen in Milan, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Thursday-January 29, 2015-5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Margie was born on September 30, 1938 in Timpson, Texas and she passed away on January 27, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Margie worked for Smiths Food for 29 years. She loved the outdoors and participated in several sports; women's softball, archery, volleyball and bowling. she also loved quilting, playing cards and dominos.
Margie and George were very active in the churches in both Grants and Nye, Montana . She was a member of the women's Bible Study in Nye and participated in many community activities.
She is survived by her Loving Husband of 56 years: George Cook of Grants, New Mexico; Sons: Robert Cook and wife Helen of Grants, New Mexico, Leonard Cook and wife Reba of Grants, New Mexico and Wade Delbert Cook of Mesa, New Mexico; 4 Grandchildren, Sheyanne, Brenda, Dawn and Leonard "Scooter", Jr. and 7 Great Grandchildren; Jayden, Jayce, Jasmine, Fayth, Kodi, Jolynne, Karyssa; One sister: Ann Zermeno of Houston, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Lennis Moore and Beth Bailey Watson; 3 Brothers: Alan Stockman, JD Moore and William Moore.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Branum, Ross Marquez, Bobby Stockman, Jessie Carwaile, Kevin Branum, Leonard "Scooter" Cook, Jr.
