Martha Caroline Wood

Martha Caroline Wood, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, left this world on December 7, 2025, at the age of 77 in Ramah, New Mexico. Born on November 5, 1948, in Wilcox, Arizona, Martha was a shining light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her life, Martha dedicated herself to being a loving mother and housewife. Her unconditional support and warmth were the foundations of her family's happiness. She cherished her role as a mom and wife, finding joy in the everyday moments that made life special. Martha's sweet, caring, and kind nature touched everyone around her. She had an incredible ability to make others feel valued and loved, traits that her family and friends will carry with them always.

Martha graduated from high school in Arizona, but her true education came from her experiences in life and her passion for crafting. She adored creating beautiful things with her hands, indulging in hobbies such as cross stitch, quilting, poetry, and scrapbooking. A writer at heart, Martha enjoyed composing children's books that sparked imagination and creativity. Sing-alongs and gatherings filled with music were also a favorite pastime, as she thrived on spending time with family and friends.

Martha's legacy lives on through her loving husband, Jasper Wood, and their children: Tom Wood and his wife, Lori, Tim Wood and his wife, Mariam, and Callie Lake and her husband, Eric. She was the proud grandmother to Drew Wood, Jasmine Wood, Aliyah Wood, and Zariana Wood. Additionally, her heart expanded with joy as she became a great-grandmother to Oliver Wood, creating yet another branch on the beautiful family tree she nurtured throughout her life.

Martha is preceded in death by her beloved son, Billy Wood, and her cherished grandson, Clint Wood. Though their absence leaves a profound void, the memories shared will forever be a source of comfort and strength to those who loved her.

A funeral service to celebrate Martha’s vibrant life will be held on December 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 28 Lewis Street, Ramah, NM 87321. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Martha are invited to gather in remembrance of her kind soul.
