Mary B. Pena (Uma) 89 years old passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on November 18, 2024 in Grants, NM. She was born in Vallecitos, NM on October 6, 1935 and grew up in La Madera, NM. Mary was one of nine children. She came to Grants in 1961 where she made her home. She is preceded in death by her parents: Belarmino and Magdalena Griego; husband: Isaias Pena; children: Johnny, Geraldine and Marlene Pena; sister: Caroline Carrillo; brothers: Armando, Gabriel, Arturo, Herman, Frank and Flaminio Griego; grandchildren: Tony Duran Jr., Matthew Pena and BeckyAnn Pena.

Mary is survived by her children: Herman (wife D’Leese), Shirley (husband Tony), Darlene, Arlene (husband Danny), Mike, Michelle and Bobby (partner Jessica); 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren; two brothers: Elifar and Bert Griego; and two nephews: Tony and Joe Montoya whom she helped raise.

Funeral services will be held on December 3, 2024 at St. Teresa Catholic Church at 10:00 am for rosary and 10:30 am for mass. Graveside service and interment of remains will be at Grants cemetery following mass.
