Nelson Bitsilly

Funeral Services for Nelson George Bitsilly of Tohatchi, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-August 24, 2013-10:00 AM at the Tohatchi United Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow on Private Family Land in Navajo, New Mexico. Pastor Martin Eastridge will officiate.



Nelson was born on March 13, 1935 in Tohatchi, New Mexico and passed away on August 17, 2013 in Gallup, New Mexico. He worked at "A School for Me" known as TAOS. INC. He was a barber in Dallas, Texas and in Ft. Defiance, Arizona.



He is survived by his children: Marvin Bitsilly of Gallup, New Mexico, Lee Bitsilly of Juneau, Alaska, Gernard Bitsilly of Phoenix, Arizona, Darrell Bitsilly of Tohatchi, New Mexico, Marinsek Bitsilly of Gallup, New Mexico and Trisha Moore of Tohatchi, New Mexico; Brothers: Tsosie Bitsilly of Tohatchi, New Mexico, Paul Bitsilly of Tohatchi, New Mexico and Irvin Bitsilly of Tohatchi, New Mexico; Sister: Marie Plummer of Tohatchi, New Mexico; 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his wife: Helena Bitsilly; Parents: Kee Bitsilly and Jane Ortiz Bitsilly; Son: Melvin Bitsilly; Brothers: Edison Bitsilly, Guy Bitsilly and Tommy Bitsilly; Sisters: Dolores Etsitty and Jean Bitsie; Grandchildren: Natasha Amber Moore and Isaiah Lee Bitsilly.



Pallbearers will be: Todd Bitsilly, Michael Buntenbach, Marvin Bitsilly, Jr., David Eastridge, Craig Bitsilly, David Yazzie and Nelson Carl Bitsilly.
