Funeral Services for Pastor Lena J. Brown, 69, of Churchrock, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-July 9, 2005-10:00 AM at the Twin Buttes Church of the Nazarene, Gallup, New Mexico. Pastor Dan Barbone will officiate. Burial will follow at the Gallup City Cemetery.
Pastor Brown was born January 10, 1936 into the Meadow People Clan and for the Bitterwater People Clan in Churchrock, New Mexico and went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2005 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the pastor of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Churchrock, New Mexico. She will be greatly missed by the community and her congregtion.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Brown, Sr. of Gallup, New Mexico; Daughters: Bernice Stewart of Red Lake, Arizona, Caroleen Haley of Churchrock, New Mexico, and Verna Johnny of Churchrock, New Mexico; Sons: Ernest Brown of Shiprock, New Mexico, Robert Brown, Jr., of Phoenix, Arizona, and Alson Brown of Grants, New Mexico; Sisters: Mary Rose Jones, Sarah Johnson and Rose Johnson all of Churchrock, New Mexico, and Helen J. Nez of Hardrock, Arizona; 17 Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Ned Johnson and Mae Begay Johnson; Daughter: Vera Ellen Brown; Brother: Robert Johnson.
Pallbearers will be: Matthan Erwin Haley, Joshuian Aaron Haley, Roberto Brown, Rabi Brown, Frederick Duboise, and Lorenzo Haley
Compassion Mortuary of Grants, is in charge of arrangements.
