Funeral Mass for Pat Richard Martinez, age 72 of Boulder City, Nevada will be held on Monday-May 16, 2011-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Sunday-May 15, 2011-7:00 PM at Compassion Mortuary.
Pat was born in New Mexico to Delfinio and Arcelia Martinez on August 27, 1938 and he passed away on May 9, 2011 in Henderson, Nevada.
Pat worked as a uranium and gold miner until retirement, first in Grants, New Mexico and then in Elko, Nevada. They moved to Boulder City in 2000 and he worked at Boulder Oaks RV Park, in which they lived. Pat enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, dancing and spending time at the casinos. He had a strong faith in God and was a member of the St Jude's Catholic Church. Pat, you will be greatly missed.
Pat is survived by his wife Tillie Martinez; two daughters Dell (George) Baker, Patty Bechtel; four sisters Isabel Aragon, Helen Trujillo, Lucy Duran, Lea (Bob) Medina; four brothers Joe (Audrey) Martinez, Ernest (Betty) Martinez, Pete (Bonnie) Martinez, and Lolo (Barbara) Martinez; Stepchildren: Brenda Michael and husband Andrew, David Jaramillo and wife Renee; Step Grandchildren: Andrew, Alyssa, Davon, Rianna, Ravae, Ryenne and one Step Great Grandchild: Jaqueline.
He is preceded in death by his parents a sister Marge Lucero and 3 brothers- in- law Gilbert Lucero, Louie Trujillo and Chris Aragon.
Pallbearers will be: Andrew Michael, Lawrence Martinez, David Jaramillo, Lance Martinez, George Baker and Steve Martinez.
