Funeral Mass for Petra Garcia, 74, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-July 17, 2008-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the Celebrant.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday-July 16, 2008-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Petra was born on May 27, 1934 in Bernalillo New Mexico and passed away of a sudden illness on July 14, 2008 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her children: Michael Garica and wife Rosella of Grants, New Mexico, Merlinda Aguilar and husband Jose of Grants, New Mexico and Nestor Garcia of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Miguel "Lando" Garcia and wife Betty of Belen, New Mexico; Sisters: Libby Ortega and husband Eustaquio "Happy" of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Frances "Pancha" Gonzales and husband Zeke of Grants, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Michael Garcia, Jr. of Grants, New Mexico, Joey Aguilar and David Aguilar and fiancee Amber Polk of Grants, New Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Nestor Garcia and Merlinda Rodriguez.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Garcia, Jr., Joey Aguilar, David Aguilar, Chris Ortega, Ron Garcia and Frank Becerra.
