Retha Wengert

Funeral services for Retha R. Wengert, 76, will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Grants. Burial will follow at the Bluewater Cemetery.



Retha was born in Bluewater on Dec. 5, 1933, to Golden and Clarinda Roundy and passed away on June 6, 2010, at University Medical Center in Tucson, the result of a car accident earlier in the day in Marana, Ariz.



She was a lifelong resident of Bluewater and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her life was full of love for others. She was a wonderful friend to many, loving mother and terrific grandmother. Retha was married on May 17, 1956, to Maurice Wengert. Their marriage of 54 years resulted in eight children, 46 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is survived by husband: Maurice; children: Wesley and wife Jennifer Wengert, Delwin and wife Janet Wengert, Clayton and wife Laura Wengert, Tammy and husband Ron Williams, Tondra and husband David Dillon, Terry and wife Lori Wengert, Tracy and wife Jeanette Wengert and Trishell and husband Gordon Merayo.
