Funeral Services for Tommy Gene Crow, Sr. 75, of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-April 24, 2010-10:00 AM at the Lighthouse Church, 2045 West View Street, Gallup, New Mexico. Pastor Bill Overton will celebrate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Tommy was born on December 27, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and he passed away on April 19, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona during surgery.
Tommy was appointed as Colonel Aide-de-Camp by Gov. Jack Campbell in 1964 and served as President of Coronado Shopping Center in Santa Fe and General Manager for Furr's Supermarkets when the Furr Family owned them before starting his own businesses.
He was Past President of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. He was part owner with his sons of Crow Enterprises which owned, Tommys Thrift Center in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. They also had the Distributorships for; Valley Gold Diaries, Borden Diaries, Southwest Baking Company, Red Seal Chips, Barron Pop, Valley Meats, Jill's Bakery, Institutional Supplies among others. He had worked for Allsups, California Markets, Pronto Fina, Thriftway and T & R Market after selling the business.
The pride of his life was his Great Grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Tommy Crow, Jr. and wife Susan of Grants, New Mexico, Gary Crow and wife Eva of Gallup, New Mexico, Glenda Lopez and husband Pat of Gallup, New Mexico and Carroll Sisneros of Gallup, New Mexico; Sisters: Farie Crow of Sacramento, California, Betty Smith and husband Donald of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Sammie Parker and husband LaFoy of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 13 Grandchildren, and 17 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Bettye Crow; Parents: Samuel Fred Crow and Maude E. Crow; Grandchildren: Isaac Crow, Tommy and Richard Crow, Robert A. Crow and Trisha Lopez; Brother: Billy Crow; Sisters: Alverta Gregory, Joy Williford and Patsy Ford.
Pallbearers will be: Adam Crow, Patrick Lopez, David Sisneros, Gabriel Sisneros, Aaron Lopez and Pat Lopez, Sr.
Honorary Pallbearers: Melonie Gonzales, Chrystal Gonzales, Tania Crow, Joy Madrid,Angel Crow, Teresa Lopez, Vikki Sisneros, Melissa Lopez.
