Victor Frank Jaramillo

Victor Frank Jaramillo passed away on December 20, 2025 in Grants, New Mexico at the age of 82. His niece, JoAnn was at his side for his last breath. Victor was born in San Mateo, New Mexico on September 16, 1943 to Marcelino and Flora Jaramillo. The family moved to Grants in the 1950's where Victor had various jobs. He worked at the Police Station and Wackers in his early years. Volunteered many years at Bi-County fair but is best remembered for having his own business, Frontier Drilling. He moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he spent the last several years. Victor was known for being a jokester. He always had a joke to tell. His piercing blue eyes would light up once he got to the punch line. He was a very proud man with a great memory; he could recall memories from early childhood growing up in San Mateo even small details such as phone numbers from years past. In his retirement he found pleasure in his garden, he would turn the ground by hand and grow the best vegetables and plant the most beautiful flowers. He enjoyed his woodworking and created one-of-a-kind hand-crafted pieces. He was known to have a beautiful yard that some accused him of trimming with scissors because it was so precisely manicured with the utmost care.

He loved his grandchildren and would look forward to the phone calls from them.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Flora Jaramillo, his brothers; Lenor, Erminio, Marcelino (Celito), Refugio, Trene and Albino, his sisters; Conce Marquez, Tita Chavez, Theresa Garcia and Benina Rodriquez and his best friend Tommy Mazon.

He is survived by his son: Brandon Jaramillo (Kathy), daughters: Brandi Gehrdes (Joe), Marci Leigh Taggart, his sister: Tonia Barela, sister-in-law: Sara Jaramillo, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces and numerous cousins. He will be greatly missed.

The family will honor his wishes and will not have any formal services, however there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
