Rosary and Funeral Mass for Wilber Thigpen 93 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-September 20, 2016-9:30AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will be held on Wednesday-September 21, 2016-11:00 AM at the Aztec Cemetery in Aztec, New Mexico.

Wilber was born on May 14, 1923 in Bluewater, New Mexico and he passed away on September 16, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Army Air Force.

He is survived by his Daughter: Cecilia Methvin of Grants, New Mexico; Granddaughters: Rhonda Methvin and Kelly Methvin-Ray both of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Angie Purvis of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Dorothy "Kennedy" Thigpen; Parents: William Thigpen and Lena "Canley" Thigpen; Brothers: Woodrow Thigpen, William Thigpen, Jr., Wesley Thigpen and Andrew Thigpen; Sisters: Christina Dressler, LaTisha Freas and Eleanor Switzer.

Pallbearers will be: Jay Mobley, Sean Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, Scottie Thigpen, Kit South, Doug Kramer.

Honorary Pallbearer will be: Buddy Kiser.
