Wyman King

March 19, 1935 — July 16, 2022

Memorial Services for Wyman Provance King, 87 of Grants, New Mexico will be held Monday-August 8, 2022-5:00pm at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico. Pastor Dale Thatcher will officiate.



Wyman was born on March 19, 1935 in Malden, Missouri to Charles Cecil and Juanita King and he passed away on July 16, 2022 in Grants, New Mexico. He was the fourth of seven children.



He attended schools in Malden and he graduated High School in 1954. He attended Arkansas State College and in 1954 he joined the Army. During his service he was in White Sands, NM Bremerhave, Germany and Breman Germany. He was dischared in 1956.



He was very happy that he was able to serve his Country and he was proud of his country. He married Gwendolyn Stotts of Lake City, Arkansas in June of 1957. they had one daughter Kimberly Jo. They divorced in 1965. In 1967 he moved to New Mexico and worked in retail and it was here that he met Catherine J. Shannon. They were married in 1968. they had three children. Tracy W. King, Michael S. King and Nancy S. King. They later divorced.



Wyman is survived by his childern: Kimberly Marlotte and husband Ray of St. Louis, MO, Michael King and wife Bridget of Prewitt, NM, Nancy King and husband Corey Allen of Grants, NM; Brothers: Cecil King, Tracy King and Wayne King; 6 Grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his Mother: Juanita; Father: Charles Cecil; Son: Tracy King; Grandson: Devlin Sheets; Sisters: Phyllis, Janice and Jane and his companion of 24 years Martha Raper.
